Diclophenac has now been withdrawn as a Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory (NSAID)pharmaceutical from general prescription. The reason for this that there is clear evidence to link this NSAlD to Coronary Atrery disease. This leaves the patient at a increased risk of Myocardial Infarction.....Heart attack.

If you are taking diclophenac long term as a pain relief precription drug and you also have heart issues you should consult with your GP if you have not already done so. (Please read the link to BBC site to help you get some context with this new information)

The Consultant Cardiologists at Basildon Hospital the new Centre of Emergency Cardiac care In Essex.. Recommmend that if you need to take NSAID ibprofen is the only one you should take and you should take courses of no more than 3 days before completely stopping the use of the drug for a week.

If you have any concerns check with your GP.
